Although the online now & active now features are very similar, there is a slight distinction between the two.
Online now (represented by a green dot on a profile avatar) means that the member has been online within the last half hour.
On many occasions, some members that are using our browser version, may leave their RedHotPie tab open while switching between different websites on others tabs.
Active now (Available on the App & mobile website) means that the member is currently active on RedHotPie (not just has RedHotPie open in one of the browser tabs).
